My surgeon retired three months after my surgery, which was 4 years ago!!! I had been seeing a nutritionist, but she wasn't helpful and it wasn't covered by my insurance!!! 😞

That’s unfortunate to hear 😩

Since you’ll have to find a new surgeon if you decide to have a revision, try to establish yourself with one that has a comprehensive team that you’re confident in. And don’t forget to ask about all of your options, not just surgical.

Don't be ashamed I gained 35 lbs back myself it sucks for sure. I started back on track about 2 weeks ago and so far so good.I'm not going to weight in but once a week. I have fell of the wagon and I need help as well.

It sure does suck, doesn't it? I remember when it started. My husband was isolated within our home with a bad case of COVID and the kids were sitting with me at the dining room table with their laptops, attempting to study. I would essentially put on a hazmat suit to take food up to my husband at regular intervals to keep him hydrated. The kids and I basically lived in the livingroom for 6 weeks.

First 3 lbs, then 5, then my jeans were snug, then, oh look! Another 5 and then 10! And then our daughter became very ill with something else...and I got to 30.

It has mostly been anxiety and stress eating, all at night. Add no exercise, and my metabolism has ground to a halt, it seems.

I'm aiming for 700-800 calories per day, and, as it turns out, if I force myself to take a half hour between liquids and solids, it forces me to be more thoughtful and deliberate about what I eat. At least so far.

Sorry for the outpouring here!

Good luck to you, my friend!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
