Your taste affected now.

I’ve noticed my taste of certain things I used to like now taste bitter of quite different. Anyone else experience the same thing since surgery?

Immediately post surgery I did not like a lot of sweet things. They tasted extra sweet to me. That’s the only taste difference I noticed so far.

Yes, this is quite common, but usually temporary.

^^^ agree with Sunnyway - common but usually temporary

Yep, pretty common. Some even find their sense of smell becomes over sensitive & the smell of certain things turn their stomach too. It’s temporary.

I can't drink water.. I used to drink a lot of water pre-op.. But after the surgery water tastes quite weird to me. So, I've been using crystal lite, gatorade zero, diet iced tea, etc.

Waiting for the 'temporary' to pass. :)
