How many days in the hospital?

Recommended Posts

I stayed 1 night at the hospital. Supposed to be 2 but I was doing well. I was off work for a month. I didn't need to be off that long, I could have gone back after 2 weeks but my surgeon didn't release me until a month. They wanted me to focus on my recovery and new habits. I will say I was very very tired 2 weeks out. After my abdominal block wore off it was difficult to sleep so I took a lot of naps. I went back to work this week and I'm so tired after working its not even funny. I can definitely tell that even though physically I'm not in pain I still get worn out. Plus mentally I don't feel like myself. Not because I regret anything- this was the best decision I ever made. But your hormones and Vitamin levels change. You eat less food so your body is like WTF you doing? I was told it can take up to 3 months to feel "normal". Don't stress yourself out by trying to go back to work early. The beauty of surgery is there is FMLA and short term disability. Take the time you need to focus on YOU. Your job will be there when you are ready. Good luck

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
