How long are people wearing the abdominal binders post op? I’m only 2 weeks but it feels like I’ll be depending on this thing forever! I’m a nurse and going back to work with this in a few weeks is not something I want to do lol

I am almost 2 weeks. I don’t have one.

I woke up from surgery with one and wore it the next day till I got home but then I took it off. It’s just for your comfort though so wear it as long as you feel you need it.

Love the binder as it helped when I coughed, laughed, and anything else that might have made my stomach move. I wore mine 2-4 weeks.

I had one when I had plastic surgery, but not when I had my RNY.

Never had one.

Like catwoman, I wore one after my tummy tuck, but not after my VSG.

Wow it’s crazy that I don’t think I can function without mine, I’ve needed it every day post op! It’s amazing how differently people experience this surgery!

I never had any kind of binder.
I had very little pain from my surgery. Moving around was never a problem. My gallbladder was worse.
I did have vomiting for the first few days, but my surgical pain was not bad at all.
