Thanks...I took alot of Vitamins pre op. I think I am going to add some back in.

Weren’t you told you would need to take Multi Vitamins from after your surgery? Depending upon how well your body absorbs Vitamins & minerals from your food once you’re in maintenance, you may need to take them for ever.

I stopped taking them about 9 months after surgery & 3 months into maintenance with my doctors approval. My 3 monthly blood tests continuously show I have very good levels so I have no need to reintroduce any supplements.

If your levels are good, it’s a waste of time (& money) taking them. Plus a lot of vitamins have negative side effects if you have excess levels in your body.

@Tim C At some point after surgery, I returned to "normal" Vitamins. I'd estimate it was between 6 months to 1 year. I took Multivitamins and supplements for a long time before surgery.

At almost 3 years out, I take a lot of 'supplements' for various things, but my basic vitamin/mineral regime consists of:

  1. Women's One-A-Day, 1 caplet, with my evening meal
  2. Citracal, 2 caplets, with my morning meal
  3. Hair-Skin-Nails, 1 caplet, twice a day (with morning and evening meal)
  4. Magnesium, 1 caplet, with my evening meal

PS: I would probably be taking this regime regardless of whether I had gastric sleeve surgery.

I take BariatricPal multi one per day with 18 mg Iron. They’re in capsule form and not too big, so easy to swallow.

So do you like those? They are a heck of a deal.

Have you lost 29 lbs since your surgery?

Yes, I do like them. And yup, the deal sold me on them!

I’ve lost 26 since surgery. 228 was my pre-op medical visit weight (and not even my HW). I’m a slow loser but this is still the fastest I’ve lost after years of diets. I’ll take it. 🙂

I'm taking Vivactive Caramel chews and chewable Flintstone tablets. No joke; Flinstones. Both twice a day.

That is awesome. I am losing at about the same clip which is a little slower than expected but I have not started walking, lifting yet. I expect that will jump start everything.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
