I was an October 14 sleever but my A1C was too high but now I’m back on schedule for Oct 27 🙌🏽

Well, that’s not too far away. When they scheduled me back in August for October, I thought it was an eternity away. I could’ve used a few more days... lol! Time crept up fast! Good luck!

I am on my third day out and am still dealing with quite a bit of pain I’m having trouble passing gas and then the doctor found a hiatal hernia that he fixed. I spent one night in the hospital and came home on Tuesday evening.
My stomach still hurts and the incisions are tender. What has your experience been?

Good luck to all, especially my October surgery peeps.

I had gas pain up until about the 4th day. Once you're able to pass the gas well you will feel much better. I stopped taking pain meds on about day 5 I believe. Its been 9 days since my surgery(Oct.6) and I went back to work today and completely forgot I even had surgery done lol.

I had the bypass and hiatal hernia repair Monday the 12th as well and I’m still having really bad gas pains. I am passing the gas and having bowel movements but still have bad pain in my upper back. Everything gets better each day but it’s still painful. I’m not taking any pain meds because of how sensitive I am to them but I am taking Tylenol for the pain. I just keep walking and getting in my fluids. I know it will get better but it has been pretty rough. I hope you feel better soon!

Hey everyone. Day 3 post op. I’m trying to increase my fluids. Got some Gatorade zero which is helping a lot.

gas is still here but not as bad as day 1-2. I’m passing gas and burping. Still haven’t passed a bowel movement

I’ve been home 2 days and the pain was terrible. I took a shower today and the heat/steam really help loosen things up. Im starting to feel better. Now, if I can get rid of this bloated feeling!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
