I woke up this morning fine and was able to do my normal get up and walk around routine, I'm 4 days out so far so I took a shower and afterwards I fell asleep which is pretty normal to me but when I woke up and tried to walk on my right leg the back of my knee keeps giving me pain and also my leg keeps giving out. I'm not seeing any swelling or bruising but I've had to resort to using a crutch to walk around now. Going to have to go to the hospital pretty soon. Has anyone else experienced this?

No I haven't experienced what you are going through.

Have you been wearing the compression socks the hospital provided? if you don't have any would be worth buying some and wearing for a while once this issue has been resolved .

I lost a lot of muscle in my legs very quickly after surgery and they were weak. My legs were crampy from not moving around. It took a few weeks to get back to normal. You can work out in a chair if you need to. You should contact your doctor for real medical advice.

Call your surgeon and let them know; they'll tell you if it's something that can be expected or if you should go to the hospital.

I ended up with a blood clot (very small, resolved on its own) in my arm, but I had been in and out of the hospital for my gallbladder.

If you don't feel any swelling or any pain when you press down on the leg, it may not be a blood clot, but just muscle weakness. I lost a lot of strength, even though I was walking pretty much every day.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
