December 2019 Sleevers, how are you doing? What’s your stats?

Recommended Posts

It's great to see how everyone is doing. I am one of the few Sleever's that have experienced dumping syndrome. I have had 3 episodes in the past 3 weeks or so. I am trying to do better by eating less and eating slower.

With regard to my stats, I had surgery on 12/9/19 and I have lost 34.3 lbs since having surgery. I have lost 43.6 pounds overall. I am currently 163.2 pounds.

I am having the most "issue" with my Hair loss. I have very curly hair and it makes me very sad to see it falling out in clumps. I know there is nothing I can do about it, especially since my labs were perfect. Still makes me sad though.

I’ve only lost 25-30lbs since surgery on 12/17. Starting to get discouraged as I haven’t been cleared for exercise yet as I had knee surgery 1/30.

I’m in the same boat. Surgery 12/18. Dropped 35 pounds the first 5 weeks & stalled since. Was at group last week. One guy there said he had a stall that lasted 4 months. He lost 150 pounds in 13 months so I guess it’s normal. Just takes patience-which I have none!!

My sleeve date was 12/2/2019. I have been doing well so far, but I need to remind myself I am only 3 months post op. I am still struggling with solid foods especially meat and vomiting. I am happy with my progress. The hardest part is dealing with the mental/emotional cravings seeing and wanting foods I can no longer eat. I just take it one day at a time.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
