awesomemom,

Best of luck tomorrow,Keep us updated we are in this together!

Sorry I left you off...........

I had my lapband surgery 01/17 and I'm still recovering. I had a large hiatal hernia so I'm thinking that's the reason I'm still so sore. I have been walking and drinking my water tho. I'm surprised that I'm still retaining so much water! I've GAINED 7 lbs since surgery and have been consuming about 800 calories a day.

I can't wait til the recovery period is over and I can begin using my new "tool". I'm happy!

Good Luck guys.

I was banded on the 17th. It has had it's ups and downs this week! I am so glad I took this step! I am ready for a new life!

Hi Everyone, The elephant sitting on my chest(gas), finally started going away this morning. I had a little trouble with nausea, because of the anesthesia. I feel much better today . Hunger hasn't really been a problem.

Best wishes to everyone banded this week

no elephant here - just feel like i've done double duty ab crunches on steroids or something - holy cow i'm sore. :)

same with hunger - not really 'feeling' it - trying to eat some Jello now to help get my morning medication down. never realized sugar free jello was so sickening sweet - ugh!!! :)

I also had some nausea issues - ended up staying overnight at hospital but that was fine.

got home yesterday afternoon - we've got two Siberian Huskies who sleep with us - they were so sweet last night - one laid at my feet while the other stretched out my length - made sure the cats nor my partner could get close to me. :frown:

Hope you feel better soon!

Hi Everyone,

I just got banded yesterday afternoon. I feel like I did 3,000 sit-ups on my left side! Other than that, I feel pretty good. I actually got on my treadmill this morning for 30 minutes (only at 2.0 speed though), my doctor said it would help with any gas pains. I also had trouble sleeping as it was hard to get comfortable.

I am really excited to begin my journey as a bandster!

Pam

Look at all the people that are in our group this month. To think it was only Red Tulips, Jim, and me in the beginning!!!!:rolleyes2:

Welcome everybody. Lets make this big journey together with periodic updates, but this is so great there are so many of us here!!:)

I'll be having lap band surgery January 28, Coos Bay, Oregon, by Dr. Tersigni. I have my husband, pain meds, gas meds, heating pad, loose clothing, liquid protein and soups on hand. Have I forgotten anything. Oh ya, motel reservations for Pete the Chihuahua and ourselves. Now have I forgotton anything?? Suggestions?? Pray for me or just wish me luck!! :rolleyes2:

Pam-Tx,

I am impressed that you felt like walking 30 min the day after your surgery! It's been 2 weeks and I am just now getting enough energy to feel kind of normal again!

I am so happy for all of you, you are :rolleyes2: (group Hug) so inspiring to read how well you are handling all of this. I go in one week 1/31 and am a bit nervous. Have started Protein drinks, have been off my Diet Coke for over a week, Now am doing the 30 20 30 eating pattern and am only drinking water "64 oz per day.

Found liquid vitamin at Costco yesterday and am happy since my doctor took me of meds till week after surgery!
