Sooo I’m 3 weeks post opp and no weight loss ... what’s the deal?! It’s this a real thing? Please tell me !

The three week stall is a real thing. Perhaps your holding onto Water weight? have you not lost anything?

Id be looking closely at every single thing you put in your body....

Your intake would be so low this early it's almost impossible to not lose weight....?

Not going to repeat above but Something is not balanced - Either you are holding Water or you are taking in to many calories?

Move a little more and change up your diet to break this little stall - I think you will find all of a sudden pounds are going to start falling off

So at my “2 week “follow up I was down ten pounds from my pre-op class 286... to then 274... now another week later according to my scale at home ... and I check it everyday habitually... I have been holding fast at 270 even. 1 I should clarify .... I’m not losing anything more than that . I read a lot of posts and some folks have lost like 40 pounds by now

40 lbs in three weeks? No - that would be extremely rare. The average WLS patient loses about 15-25 lbs in the first month. There are some exceptions, but again, those are rare. People that lose that much weight the first month are usually people who start off at something like 500+ lbs - like the people on "My 600 lb Life"

P.S. I started off at over 300 lbs and lost 16 lbs the first month, if that gives you any idea.

My average weight loss is 14 a month. My neighbor saw me for the first time yesterday and said Wow, you have lost a lot of weight, you look great! That made me feel great!

Everybody stalls in Week 3 or 4. It's normal. Don't sweat it. Don't be in a hurry, you just had the surgery. It'll happen.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
