Weekend Warriors!!!!

B-Side Question(s): Seeing any real measurable difference from this challenge?

Any ideas for the next one?

Well I’ve only half-haphazardly done the squats, but I’m continuing to lose this month.

Next month is going to be interesting. I’m predicting I’ll hit goal weight and will be in the process of trying to learn what maintenance starts to look like for me.
Meanwhile (unless I drink wine, which I don’t plan on doing excepting for special occasions) I’m finding it impossible to get in over 750 calories daily.

I guess one of my personal goals for October will be to figure out how to transition from weight losing mode to figuring out “what next?”

I was not good at sticking with the squats although I really need to do them. In maintenance and holding steady at 128-130.

I tend to stick with ab and plank challenges better.

Day 20: Thank God for rest!!
Planned a night in with my girls! Watched Aladdin while they had FroYo and I had cottage cheese. It was fabulous.

Day 21:
Completed squats.
I'll get to meditation while in bed. Its was a busy day!!

B side: Any changes? I see some lengthening of my thighs and my butt is tighter!

20. No night in with friends planned. I don't think any of us are interested in organizing a night in. Rest day from squats.

21. Did do a meditation yesterday morning at the start of my workshop. Also accomplished 150 squats.

22. More workshop today....no face time with family who live far away. Will get to the 155 squats at some point.

B-side. 1. I think it would be hard to live without the smart phone when on the road because of the ability to call for help or get directions. Otherwise, I grew up in the days before cell phones and I miss that some days. 2. Not sure that I see any measurable difference but I wasn't looking for any. It was about the exercise for me. I think I'd be interested in some ab work, particularly the lower abs. I feel like I neglect them.

23. Groaning and moaning in my head about 160 squats and knowing it's only going to get worse. But, I got them done and I did accomplish 155 yesterday as well. Thanks to the puppy, I started going home for lunch and I ate that on my deck in the backyard. If it's still light out when I get home, I'm thinking I need to do some poop patrol for the dogs' and my sake.

In the meantime, I got crazy and signed up for a 5K walk this Saturday!

Good Evening !

B-Side Question: Fast or Slow Squats?

Slow squat with hand weights.

They’re soooooo much more difficult and I can actually concentrate more on the muscles I want to work out when I go slowly.
Also don’t feel as if I’m one wobble away from blowing a knee out when I go slow and heavier.

Day 23
160 squats divided in 2 phase of 80s!!🥵🥵🥵
Do something outside: [emoji848][emoji848] I walked to the mailbox!! It's raining cats and dogs here so doing anything outside is nearly impossible. BUT, thank God for rain!![emoji119][emoji119]

B sided: Definitely fast interspersed with slow depending on the wobble![emoji38]

Good Morning! Its Wednesday (WCW) and here's a rare B-Side Question:

Do you have a WCW (Woman Crush Wednesday) or someone you admire for various reasons?

24, Squat rest day! No date nights for me. I'd have to meet someone I'd want to do that with, lol.

25. My butt is having a rebellion so not sure about squats today. Who knows, I may suck it up by midnight, lol.

B-side - 1, depends on the quantity...currently that's a lot so those squats are faster. I'd go slower if I was doing less. 2, Not sure I understand the question, but, yes, love my oldest (long-term) and dearest friend. I used to say that if she'd been a guy, I'd have married her. Quite happy to be best friends and sisters at this point.

25. Update - no squats. I also blocked a couple of negativing things that were showing up on my Facebook feed.

26. No squats. I think I fell off the squat wagon. That's it! I said no to squats! LOL.

27. Squats continue to be unlikely. I did start yoga teacher training this week on top of my usual daily gym routine. Oh, and because of that, I don't expect to use the phone tonight either.

Tomorrow is the 5K walk! I'll let you know how that goes. Happy Friday folks!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
