Recommended Posts

Hi. I don’t know if I’m dehydrated . I usually have bladder control problems

but at the moment not passing much urine , and have stomach ache and not feeling very well . Its not such a nuisance ! but I’m not sure it’s good either . Does anyone else have this ?

I agree with the post above..try liquid with electrolytes and sip, sip, sip. I would also call my Dr office if it concerned me just to make sure it’s not something else.

Try to drink more Water and electrolyte beverages then check your urine color (the lighter the better)

Good Luck 💜

Thank you Greentea. My urine is dark greeny brown ! 😳I THINK it could be one of my tablets , which is also that colour . Does milk count as a liquid to help with dehydration ?

No if your urine is that dark... Light & clear fluids for a while like:

But please reach out to your team immediately

Normal for some people maybe

BUT

This may all be related to dehydration... but no one on here can diagnose you. Please email call your surgeons office immediately (if you can) and tell them everything

what’s liquid with electrolytes?

Vitamin Water zero, Gatorade zero, some types of regular bottled water, Propel Fitness water. Be sure to check the labels for sugar content as some are lower than others.

Thank you MeepMeep. Have just ordered some. I think we have different names for things here, I’m in the U.K. Are you in the U.S. ?

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
