For those of you that work at night what is your eating and exercising schedule. I'm trying to figure this out before I return to work which is a 12hr night shift.

I'm a night worker, too. I walk to and from work because it's around the corner but I find it a lot easier to exercise right after work. I'll get home, change, and go right back out to walk. Sometimes it's hard to get the motivation after I wake up or before work so it really works best even after working all night. It's my wind down. Meals I usually eat within an hour of being awake. Then I eat about every 4 hours. I do have one shake a day which I save for when I know it's going to he hard to get a break to eat. I almost always have some sort of small snack ... Pistachios are my favorite but I don't eat a lot of them because they sit kind of heavy in my stomach which, ironically, is also the reason I choose them... I don't feel full so quickly. It doesn't always work so picture perfect but trying to stick to a time schedule works for me. Good luck [emoji171] I hope you find something that works for you.

I used to work 1st Watch and I agree with @MzTrip I used to workout immediately after my shift because I knew once I went to sleep I'd make up some excuse not to do it when I woke up.

Fortunately, I walk A LOT at work. I can easily crank out 14,000+ steps. I can’t work out after work because I’ll get too wired to sleep. I’m still on a liquid diet, and when I go back to work, I’ll have another week of it. So my meals will be Protein Shakes. Going forward, I see myself taking tuna packets or chicken salad—just something small. I don’t really like to eat on the nights I work anyway. It just doesn’t feel right to eat a whole lot in the middle of the night.

I used to work nights, 7p-7:30a and this was a time when I lost 75 lbs, was exercising regularly and eating very healthy. I would get up at 3:30, walk a couple miles. Come home and get ready for work, including packing all my food for the shift. I would eat a light dinner, packed the rest of my food for the day for during my shift. Home by 8 and went right to sleep before getting up to do it all over again. The key was meal prep and shopping on my days off. I'd have everything ready to go, portioned out, and ready to grab for my lunch sack.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
