LololololololoL

I would have settled for baby wipes but these were found first. With so many people touching me, i totally need to wipe down until I can shower

Shew! That's better knowing it's cuz of a Monk thing. :) Cuz the other...well that's like an entirely different order of magnitude parallel with the mystical flight of the butterfly that no one should ever discuss. The penalty from the female tribe is too great. Death by stoning from the pits of well...stone fruits. :D

Wow! I haven’t been here much but I had no idea your revision was so soon.

Thank you so much for sharing your journey with us. It is looking likely that I too will need to revise due to gerd:( I am so not happy about it because I know that revisions surgery carries greater risk for one thing. For another I just don’t want a bypass and that is why I went with the sleeve to start.

I am more afraid to revise than I was to have my initial sleeve surgery.

I wish you a speedy recovery and I will be paying closer attention to this thread.

There must be pretty compelling medical reasons to revise. Stick with the recommendations of yout surgeon

As I'm sure y'all know, I am not hungry at all and it seems my tastes have changed again 😞

The broth was bland, never tried the Jello, drinking is fine but slow

Thank you. I need all of the support and encouragement I can get.

I did the bravo test a few weeks back and my acid levels are off the charts.

It would be great to lose my appetite. It never happened after my sleeve surgery.

Thanks for the posts. I have made notes on a couple of things to bring that I did not think of. One thing I will bring is Clorox wipes and hand sterilizer. In the hospital, locally, there are signs in the room that say "you have the right to ask the Hospital employees and Dr.'s to wash their hands before touching you". I just have the pump bottle on my near by table and I do ask, with a smile. Also, if friends visit.

Good luck with your recovery!!!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
