My surgiversary is 8/27/19, so far I've lost 145 pounds. I'm about 50 pounds away from my personal goal. 5753520_20180612_SURG_02.jpeg 20190706_191421.jpeg

And I didn't see ME on the list but I'm still out here too @ YLime, 10 months and 1 week past surgery, and I had be so special I nearly stink. Had A Stomal Stricture, multiple ulcers in my pouch and in Jejunem, the second part of the small intestine, where the pouch empties into. Although there is not the acid- producing critter it once was, but just enough acid to chew on my jejunm, try chomping until I x a n will8=

Oops must have lost my Train of Thought or I fell asleep. The acid was trying to chomp a hole in my jejunem, see it doesn't have the mucus, protection of your stomach( although mine was no great shakes. That's why I came into WLS with Hector, my iddy bitty Gastric Ulcer). And your Duodenum has neutralizing things coming in like bile and Pancreatic secretions to protect things, bypassers come back in much more Downstream, something we have given up to have higher weight loss. As the Old Carnival Barker said "YOU PAY YOUR MONEY, YOU TAJE YOUR CHOICE!" And for ME I guess the choices back- fired -- Oh Well -IT is as IT is and I will make it through it all. Just still stuck on purees, broths, Soups, Protein Shakes and Half the Vitamins and Minerals in the Western World! But I am Strong, Red-headed, I Don't and Won't Give Up, I'll be in Victory Lane eventually!

Hello friends! Aug 18th will be one year since I was sleeved. The first couple weeks were really tough but as the weight has come off I'm feeling so much better. I actually intentionally look at myself in the mirror now. HW was probably 285. Started the liver shrinking diet at 265. Surgery at 250. CW 163. Ideally I'd like to get to 155 but honestly I'm pretty satisfied with where I am right now. I still have so much to work on though. I have not incorporated any exercise! I know, I know, please don't chastise me. I am well aware of the importance of exercise, including the need to build muscle. Another area that I've recently started strugglimg with is indulging in junk food, fighting with old habits of emotional eating. It's frustrating how my stomach has such a hard time with meats but it has no issues with the unhealthy stuff. I still log everything I eat, every day. So I'm not being sneaky about it. Anyway, I'm excited that I've come so far but a little disappointed that I still have so much more to work on. I also have to manage my bipolar disorder which gets in the way at times. Continued success to all of us! pixlr_20190712232632509.jpeg

I just past my 1 year "surgerversury" and doing great. Down 110lbs and holding fast. Been in a stall for five months but feeling spectacular. I would still like to lose another 30 lbs, but if it takes me another year or two I'm not going to lose sleep over it.

Everyone looks amazing and beautiful! I had my sleeve surgery July 18,2018. I'm down 101 lbs. and still losing. I hope to lose at least another 71 lbs. This has not been an easy journey, but I'm so glad I did it!

Hi Everyone! It has been a while. I'm now about 88 lbs down, but have been stuck losing and gaining the same 5 pounds since January. A bit frustrated, but that's where I am with it.

This year has been incredible. My confidence has grown, as has my energy level. I still have about 50 lbs to go before I reach my ideal weight. I don't know if that's plausible at this point, but I'm hopeful.

In an effort to boost my loss, I've gone back to very low carb, high Protein and have increased my activity a HUGE amount. Hopefully it pays off.

One year today! I made it to my goal. It felt slow at times but I don’t take a single pound for granted. I hope everyone is doing well and feels good.

Here is my chart. Edited to add: I joined a gym in April and it shows on the graph.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
