Congrats and welcome to the club. Dont worry about the weight gain. You are filled with IV fluids from surgery. Everyone has a little gain in the first few days post op. Also, i was in the hospital 3 days and 2 nights (standard for my surgeons practice) so just enjoy the time that other people are paid to take care of you.

Again, congrats!

So far today (day one post op) I’ve been able to consume the fillowing

3oz veggie broth

8oz water

6oz chicken broth

ive been working my way through 20ox of crystal light all day

they just brought me 6oz of beef broth and a jello cup for dinner

i cant keep up. Does this seem in line with what you guys are day one?

The give me, chicken broth, jello, yogurt and mashed potatoes. I was only able to eat maybe 2 spoonful of yogurt and a bit of the chicken broth. jello was way to sweet. I mainly sipped on water and ice chipped.

Congrats! I'm having mine on 7/1. Now that I know they may weigh you before you are leaving, I'm going to close my eyes..I don't want to know. Each time I've been in the hospital, if I'm on an IV, I swell up like a balloon.

Congratulations and wish you a speedy recovery!

I got to come home today

I ate 6 oz of broth before i left hospital. Working toward liquid and protein goal today.

I took a little nap, but am gonna polish this 20oz water bottle in about an hour. Too fast?

64oz of fluids and 60g of protein seems like a hefty goal

Congrats!
