I just got the call this a.m. that my insurance has approved my surgery!!!!!! Omg.... Sooooo excited. Surgery date is July 22nd. I start my liquid diet on July 8th. This is really happening! I have so many different emotions right now! Is there anyone else having Surgery on July 22nd?

CONGRATULATIONS! I am counting down to July 9th! I am also having a ton of different emotions as it sinks in but most of all I am SO SO SO SO SO excited for all of us! No required pre-op diet other than the day before but I plan to continue eating as healthy as I have been through the last 6 months aside from a couple food funerals (LOL).

I can only imagine how excited you were and still! Congrats and many blessing to you on your new WLS!

Congratulations on your approval! I just went to my last appointment and now I'm waiting for my approval. I just found out my doctor didn't send a letter to my surgeon, and I saw him last June. I'm practicing patience now and I'm not great at it.

@Sandra Neufelddid you go through the requirements of psych eval and dietitian visits before approval was submitted and accepted?

Yes, they would not submit for approval until all is completed, then 3 work weeks to wait for approval, then wait for a surgery date. I started in March.
