Stall in the soft food stage

Recommended Posts

I stalled when I went in the pureed stage and now stalling again in the soft food stage. Is this normal? Still trying to eat between 300 to 400 calories. Maybe not eating enough?

When I increased calories a little I lost weight. May want to try 400-500 and see what happens.

Stalls happen, no rhyme or reason for them. You just have to ride them out. IMO, anything that "breaks a stall" is just concidence, unless you are eating at your BMR, and you decrease your cals, which clearly isn't your situation.

There's an infamous Week 3 or Week 4 stall that everyone experiences. Then other stalls just happen even if we're doing everything right. I would eat around 600 calories if I were you and not worry about the scale.

Don't worry about stalls right now! Your body is going through a lot of changes and doesn't know what is going on! My advice is to stay off the scale and focus on your Fluid and Protein intake. The weight loss will come, you just need to be patient.

Well I have to worry a little as I have a total knee replacement surgery scheduled and it's on the condition I can get to 240. 248.6 right now so hope this comes off soon.

But worrying won’t help the situation. Just stick with your program, and recognize you’re doing everything you can.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
