I have a question. So I had VSG on April 30,2019. So I'm home recuperating... I'm on my phase one diet so liquids is it n I'm ok with that considering I love liquids. But my stomach has bin a bit overactive.. my BMs are very liquified..

Is this normal? I'm jus curious..and should I be worried.

Yes, I had the same problem for the first 10 days or so. Tmi, but was dark orange.

I think it's pretty normal and should subside.

Good luck!

Ok.. well I'm relieved it's normal for some.. I know it's not the best topic but considering the surgery it's part of our healing process...

It's ok. A lot of people talk about the uncomfortable topics here. I think we all have these issues one way or another.

Hoping it gets better soon!

Liquids in, liquids out. There's nothing in your present diet to provide anything solid--no fibrous veggie or fruit remains, no undigestible bits. It'll change when your diet gets more varied.

I was told when I got the band on, liquid in liquid out.

That's normal because you're not getting solid foods. No worries. And we can talk about anything here, so there's a lot of "poop talk" 🙂

Well, tomorrow I go in for an impromptu hiatal hernia repair after ending up in the ER over the weekend because I couldn't get food down and water was moving at a trickle... I've been having these symptoms on and off for a few weeks but Sunday was the worst by far and came with chest pain and trouble breathing. The ER PA thinks it is just esophagitis and that the surgeon and radiologist are wrong. But the bariatric surgeon swears it is a hernia, possibly a sliding one based on my symptoms. So he fit me into his schedule this week to repair it! I hope he's right and this sorts it out. He's going to do a scope afterwards to be sure there is nothing wrong with the esophagus. Here's hoping it all goes well!!

Having gall bladder surgery in a few days and I so hope the recovery is easier than the one from the modified DS! I could use a bit of luck/pep talk for a change. I'm starting to be able to walk around without experiencing dizziness, but it would be great if the random pain in my chest and abdomen would go away!!
