I have been drinking at least 70 oz everyday. My skins super dry my fingers are “shriveled” like when your in the bath or shower to long. My urine is usually dark except yesterday for some reason. And now when I stand I get dizzy and light headed. Like the feeling when you stand up to fast, except I’m not standing up quickly I do it slowly because of the dizziness but it still happens. I’ve tried contacting my dr and there closed. I drink two premier drinks each day totaling my Protein intake to 60g. I usually drink a mixture of Pedialyte and sugar free Powerade. I even eat at least three Pedialyte Popsicles each day. I’ve checked my blood pressure and it’s 100/68 which is normal(at least the Drs day it’s fine) because I have high blood pressure and my medicine brings it down to that. I’ve checked my sugar levels (before surgery it was 150-250) and it was 92 which is great. I don’t understand what’s going on or why I’m still dehydrated. I even started taking my Vitamins Friday. The first month I couldn’t because the crushed pills didn’t sit well with my tummy and would result in me getting sick. On Tuesday I was given muscle relaxers to help with the pain on my sides and was told to take them around the clock. Maybe that’s why I’m dizzy? Before surgery I was trying to get this done for three years and I thought it was going to be a piece of cake. But now it’s like I don’t know my own body or what’s wrong with me anymore. If it’s not one thing it’s another.

I'm getting dizzy when I stand up too. I quite taking my BP medicine because it was a very light dose anyway ( 5 mg) and I barely had it and I think after losing enough weight I don't need it anymore. I mentioned it to my surgeon, the lightheadedness, and she said to increase my salt intake.

I’ll try that thank you 😊 . My blood pressure meds were 240mg before. Since I’ve been on the liquid form I just take one dose 40mg in the morning because my heart rate is 120-160 just from getting out of bed. Hoping blood pressure won’t be an issue soon since my diabetes are pretty much under control if not gone.

I wonder if your heart rate is so high getting out of bed because your pressure is so low, as in your body in trying to prevent low blood pressure by increasing the hear rate to keep you form passing out. Can you check your heart rate and blood pressure lying in bed before you get up?

It was 105/55 before even moving all I did was reach over and grab my monitor, then I got up out of bed and sat down and did it again it was 121/83. My heart rate is the only issue now I guess. I am trying to go without blood pressure medicine today to see if I can stop it. I went to Walmart without taking it and the highest my heart rate went was 130bpm but ranged from 100-120 mainly. And now I’m driving home and it’s 81 bpm so I’m now hoping I no longer have to take the bp medicine!

I think my anxiety may play a part in my heart rate to. So I called my dr to have a check up on that. Thank you for all your help!

Question for anyone, how did you get your mind right before surgery? Like as far as eating better foods and just doing better in general? I'm having a really hard time with this. Any help is appreciated 🙏❤️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
