What's your list?

Recommended Posts

I haven't gotten my lap band yet, but I have dreams of all the things I'll get to do when I do get it. What are some of the things you can't wait to do after you lose your weight; or, if you have lost enough wait to do the things you wanted to do, what was it?

Here's my list:

1. Fit comfortably in a movie seat :clap2:

2. Go to Six Flags again and ride the rides

3. Not feel embarrassed in a plane seat

_ pretty much anything having to do with a seat _

4. Roll over in bed comfortably :notagree

5. Put my shoes and socks on without straining

6. Fingernail polishing my toenails without straining

7. Rollerblade and iceskate again

8. Not have the fear of breaking somebody's chair. LOL

What about you?

1. Get off all meds

2. Return to drag racing my motorcycle.

3. Start mountain biking.

4. Get to wear some cool clothes instead of the ones from the back of the rack.

5. Live long and retire happy.

Yes, I dislike that commercial too Glo. LOL.

And yes, I should have put the clothes thing on mine too Dave. I sure hate it when the plus size clothes seem to come in the ugliest moo moo crap you've ever seen.. I do tend to find some decent stuff, but when I walk by the 16 and unders I remember the days when I wore the 4-12's and how cute those clothes were..

oh, those commercial's are SSOOO perfect!!

i'm looking forward to not having to have the nurse switch to the X-LARGE armcuff when checking my blood pressure.

it would be nice if i could rid the "cottage cheese" look on my thighs

i absolutely cannot beleive that i have rolls on my back (noticed those in my "before" picture.---those have got to go

Okay you asked for it!:)

1. Not having people look away when I walk by, because they don't want to "stare".

2. Being able to get into any buffet line and not have people watch what I'm putting on my plate.

3. Meeting someone new and not have them assume I'm stupid just because I'm fat.

4. Buying clothes downstairs in a department store (ours all have the Plus sizes upstairs--to give us some exercise I think!!)

I'm just being totally honest with myself and you guys! :bounce:

I was banded in May (a-May-zing bandsters) and we had a started a list back then that was called 100 reasons to lose 100 lbs. It was a great list....lots of rollercoasters, dancing, skirts, shoe tying etc.

You make me want to go back and look again at what was on "My list".

I know one was wakeboarding which I did this summer.

For you future bandsters.....It is sooo worth it! Good Luck!

Ugg, I hate the buffet line stares... It makes me always get less though and always throw a salad on there too. LOL

I get paranoid at the grocery store too.. I feel like people are looking in my basket at what I have. I've been known to hide the bad stuff under the good stuff. HA HA..

All of the above. How's about not feeling so bleedin' out of place all the time? Not being the fat chick any longer.

Looking completely fabulous on the back cover of a book.

using regular size robes in the haircutting place without having to pin it

it's the little things in life that "get me" and make me happy!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
