Hello everyone! I had surgery (RNY) on April 1st, came home yesterday. Everything went fairly well. However, I think I underestimated the possible nausea. I started vomiting what looks like foam... what the world is that all about ?! If I take a pill with a sip, shortly after here comes the foam. Has this happened to anyone else? If so please share how you conquored it. I feel great except for that !

Oh yes, "the foamies" are normal. It's your body rejecting what you're putting in it and dealing with digestive acids and mucus. Nothing to worry about. The nausea will get better in a day.

Ask him if his neck is feeling sore? If not, he and you both are going to come through this Okay. A normal reaction from a body still a little peeved at what you permitted to be done to it. It and you will both get better as time goes by!😝👍

Oh Lord, I haven't stopped vomiting yet. Surgery was on April 1st. Even the zorfran, Pepto and other meds makes me barf. I had to go have a bariatric cocktail. I was put on phase two. Lost 20 pounds in 8 days. Was told to try Protein enriched foods/drinks and see if it stays down [emoji45]. Anybody know any other way to get it to stay down?

Still purging all of the larger clothing. This morning, a shirt that I ADORED wearing ended up on top. Hard to let it go, but it was also hard to let go of those habits that also no longer serve my highest good. Onward and upward!

Well, tomorrow I go in for an impromptu hiatal hernia repair after ending up in the ER over the weekend because I couldn't get food down and water was moving at a trickle... I've been having these symptoms on and off for a few weeks but Sunday was the worst by far and came with chest pain and trouble breathing. The ER PA thinks it is just esophagitis and that the surgeon and radiologist are wrong. But the bariatric surgeon swears it is a hernia, possibly a sliding one based on my symptoms. So he fit me into his schedule this week to repair it! I hope he's right and this sorts it out. He's going to do a scope afterwards to be sure there is nothing wrong with the esophagus. Here's hoping it all goes well!!
