I was afraid to tell my husband about my revision. As we are both on my insurance from my employer. They only cover me for this procedure. He has a little GERD and was sleeved a month after my sleeve. We used his insurance.

Additionally, he is a cáncer Survivor. I feel alot guilt. However, I must still move forward.

Not getting any support from my husband about getting my sleeve revision to gastric Bypass,he thinks this is a stupid idea and is very negative about everything. Tomorrow is my surgery and I have to be there at 5:30 am and he’s even complaining about that because God forbid he loses his precious sleep.
Good luck!! I was converted technically yesterday/Thursday. My mom wouldn’t drive me. I had an amazing Lyft driver who made me laugh at 5 am and no sleep because I was anxious and super amped up. I pretty much feel like I’m dying because this hospital is super weird about pain meds but the broth, tea, and SF sorbet I had was all amazing.

So proud of you for doing it despite support from your husband. It’s so hard!

I am 3 weeks out of surgery. April 4. I may very frustrated. I have not lost any weight in almost 2 weeks! I fluctuate between the same 2 pounds. Down a pound, up a pound. How is this even physically possible?? Did anyone else experience this? How can I change it? I’m at the pureed part of the diet. I get my Protein in and I track my food.

Are you getting in enough fluids? Are you exercising or at least walking, preferrably in the fresh air? Are you getting enough sleep? And most,of all, are you following your doctor, and his staff and their instructionsas to diet? If you're doing all this then don't sweat the small stuff. A stall just means your body is regrouping itself to make another weight loss. Its all good at the end of the day so Relax and go with the flow! Most of us have been there and had the same fears.

Yes. I believe I am doing everything expected of me. I ordered a stationery bike yesterday for some extra exercise when I can’t get out and walk. How long do these stalls usually last?

Most a week or 2, but occasionally longer, month tops.yOu get all kinds of answers on here. The closest I came myself was only losing a pound a month while I was on TPN, but the month afterwards , March, I dropped 30 pounds,so the extra liquid calories slowed me down or at least deferred it. ONLY other time I dropped like that was the first month after surgery So I doubt I even duplicate that again. But it is what it is so I take a little sorrow for future joy and happiness. A week from Sunday I will be 8 months out, May 2018 I wondered if it would EVER happen for me! The topic of this thread was " No Support System" try finding it among your same-age peers, everybody of mine either disapproves " You're being a Silly Fool" or they're already dead. But you tug up your Big Girl Panties and get on with life, and things do work out, most of the time!

Having gall bladder surgery in a few days and I so hope the recovery is easier than the one from the modified DS! I could use a bit of luck/pep talk for a change. I'm starting to be able to walk around without experiencing dizziness, but it would be great if the random pain in my chest and abdomen would go away!!

      Today was rough...
I've been experiencing a headache all day today that just won't go away. I'm thinking it's now progressing into a migraine. Does anyone else get headaches from taking vitamin B12? I did some research and learned that usually a lack of B12 causes headaches. But I've noticed when I take it, I have reoccurring headaches. 😫
