Hi, I hope you do well. I am also having a revision from sleeve to bypass. What happen with your sleeve? How long since your sleeve surgery?

I had my sleeve dome May 2013. I lost weight, but gained a bit back. I never lost much weight at all. After 5 years, I decided I am tired of being overweight! I also have a hiatal hernia to get repaired. The sleeve I did to reduce the amount of insulin I was using, and it did help. So this surgery, I am doing to get a better looking body, as well as get off other meds and maybe off my insulin pump.

Why did you decide to get bypass?

I have severe GERD. With my sleeve, lW 189 CW 218. I have an awkward sleeve. I just want to stop the burn and lose more weight. I worked out. The shape of my body changed but my weight didn't. I got depression. The scale started to go up again.

The entire time, I was in pain. Additionally, there is a hernia. My date has changed to May 16, 2019. I am happy, afraid and a little confused. I really didn't know that something would help until recently. My sleeve was done 8/14.

Yes, I can't wait to stop having terrible heartburn! Right now, I keep tums with me at all times. I did n't know about the hiatal hernia until my surgeon took a look during a scope procedure. I am glad it's something that can be fixed.

I really don't complain about the pain. I tried to just push through. Its just gotten ridiculous. My husband does night runs to get tums or Metamucil. I need some now. However, I am at work and forgot them at home again.

I just got my surgery date last week. I'll be getting the revision from sleeve to bypass also. My date is May 13th. I'm way more nervous about the surgery this time around.

Hi not scheduled but have been struggling with heartburn and have considered a revision just want to follow everyone and see how you all do!
I never had heartburn pre sleeve and it is so awful and frustrating [emoji20]
This was one of my fears getting surgery as I didn't want to have to revise to rny.
I am only 4.5 months out from my sleeve and everyone tells me to give it time but it's just scary. Just trying to be ok with it if this is the path I need to take!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
