The other day I was able to drink at least 6 oz with no issue!!! :0 I know I know Im dramatic! lol But yeah Iv also been on a stall, iv lost maybe 20 pounds in the last three months. I know Its going to slow down but this fast this soon? Iv lost 82lbs since surgery. I just need so clarification you guys! :)

You've lost 16 pounds a month on average and even if 7 ponds each of the last 3 months, how is that a stall or a slow-down? That is AWESOME! I don't think 6 oz is going to stretch your pouch.

We're about at the same place :)

I can eat about 4 ounces if it's just Protein, but if I'm eating veggies too then it's a bit more. Water I haven't had any problems with since surgery and can drink almost as if I never had the surgery. In the time it takes me to wake up in the morning and get ready, then the drive into work, I drink 34 ounces of water. It's about 1.5 hours. At work before lunch it's another 34 ounces most of the time, and then slows down throughout the rest of the day. Although I do consistently get in around 120 ounces daily.

You've lost a lot more than me, but there are so many variables. Just focus on protein and hydration, stay active, and you'll get where you want to be.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
