First day home VGS

I was released from the hospital yesterday, after one night in hospital. what did you eat your first day? And how much water did you drink? Did you start off with your 60oz of water right away?

I have no feeling to eat which is so unreal.

I had bypass but I got about 40-50 ounces of water in. No protein except a few sips. My drs office called to check in and she said that’s fine. Just try to get to 64 ounces by next Wednesday and also start vitamins by then. I’m really just focusing on water right now. Today I had warm tea and that went down pretty well and 16 ounces of water so far. So about 24 ounces of fluids ... I’ll try something with protein a bit later

My first day home I was able to get in all of my protein and about 50 oz water. My doctor told me to add my protein intake with my water intake. So getting close to 64 oz was kind of easy. I used medicine cups to measure my intake which helped a lot. Good luck on your journey..[emoji4] i wasn't hungry either but I made sure to drink some broth..

Lenny Kravitz was too cool! I placed him up there with Prince and Jimi Hendrix as far as being a musical icon.

Still is...

I had Gatorade Zero, diet iced tea, sugar-free popsicles, sugar-free pudding, water, and protein shakes.

I ended up drinking 2 protein shakes, iced tea unsweetened, a few bites of cream of chicken soup and about 30oz of water.
