No kidding. I went on vacation for a month and messed myself up for three months. Good luck!! You’re not going to regret it!

I have been having Premier Protein chocolate 30 grams of Protein each day. Decaff coffee and sugar free fudgicles

Hi, Marine. My major problem on the pre-op liquid diet has been that it's all sweet and I crave something savory. I've been having chicken broth every day at around dinnertime, and that has made a big difference.

So nice to have some of that weight around my face and neck off... though (surprise, surprise) I've lost the majority of cm from around my bust... a massive 20cm and counting! Why do the boobs have to be the first to go?! Lol!

EmzBee, that's a pretty dramatic difference in just a week. You look great, although it probably helps that you are smiling in second photo.

There are ways to make your boobs larger if necessary down the road. However, I suspect your body will shrink to meet them. 🙂

I used Shellys ricotta bake on Google.

Sent from my LM-Q710(FGN) using BariatricPal mobile app

So, can I just say that I had never heard of ricotta bake in my life until joining this forum, where it seems to be all the rage. Had you all made it before surgery or is it something you discovered afterwards?

I don't have staples. I only have the 5 laparoscopic entry points (3 x 1cm, 2x 2cm near my bellybutton... the most annoying one is the one on my solar plexus that sits right on my braline).

Emz, My understanding is that the staples are inside to seal off the new pouch, not external.

Does anyone have an incision near the belly button? I have a rather nasty scar there from my cancer surgery and I would love if they could use the same location and make the scar a bit prettier. (Haven't given up my dream of becoming a swimsuit model.)

Not sure why I haven’t posted in this thread but I was sleeved 2/6, which puts me at 18 days post-op.

Has anyone ever cheated on post op diet. I am getting appetite back slowly.

Marine, have you figured out the way to stop the constant need to burp? I must or I will severely feel the pain of trapped air pockets (I sip, don’t gulp or use a straw too). It’s especially challenging when I am trying to simply sleep (and my head is elevated),

Agree! chicken or beef broth have made post-op dining lately so much more bearable. I still aim for Protein goals first and foremost but once I’ve taken in at least 40grams I dont feel too guilty sipping a little broth come dinner time.

Cover the scar with a carefully placed tattoo! Just kidding the scar does fade especially with your skin shrinking

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
