Just got bumped up to solids!

Haven’t had surgery yet but I’ve used MyKeto for so long...probably about 2 years. It’s so easy to use and has an excellent food database. Easy to add your own foods and serving sizes, scan labels, etc. Tons of resources in settings. Here are a couple screenshots...don’t mind the macros I haven’t finished logging my food today 😋

Pre op I used Calorie King but post op I use a written food diary so I can easily show it to my dietician. The first post op meeting with her I just described what I had been eating as I didn’t track. The next meeting when I had the food diary was so so much better. She was able to give more comprehensive advice and point out good and bad things. I’m now committed to paper tracking.

I’ve been on and off MyFitnessPal for eight years and plan to use it when I get back to solids. One week out, a simple note pad seems easiest!  Congrats on going to solids. I just can’t wait to get to something other then liquids!!!

You made a valid point about the paper tracking. I've used apps for so long, but I think being able to hand the doctor something tangible is probably a headache saver for everyone. I'll still use my app to calculate all my macros and whatnot. I just picked this up on Amazon https://amzn.to/2BgLSw4 Thanks for the idea!

how long ago did you have your surgery? I'm so ready for real food. I'm still supposed to be eating just oatmeal and mashed potatoes....

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
