Hi all,

I had bypass on 7/23. I really miss sandwiches and am dying for a couple bites. When were you able to eat bread without problems? thanks!!

I waited until 3 months out before I attempted bread... I avoid white bread and stick with the super high grain count versions... less problems. Just be VERY careful and eat slow and most certainly don't drink and eat bread at the same time!

I am 11 months out. I will eat a half of piece of toast once in a while. I typically avoid bread, it is to filling and I do not want to use my calories for bread. That is just me. Everyone is different and we all have to choose what is right for us.

It took me a while to eat bread but I do try to avoid it as much as possible. If I go to a restaurant and want a sandwich, I usually order it without the bread. Or, some places do lettuce wraps, even for burgers. That way you get the good part of the sandwich without the bread.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
