I'm only 1 week post-op (VSG) but I'm curious to know how many of you are thrill seekers and how long after your surgery did you venture back to the land of roller coasters and amusement park rides? I know this sounds crazy but I swear when I move these days I can feel my insides move right along with me. But, I'm dying to get back out there and ride some rides. We have a big vacation planned for October and heading to Universal Studios, and hoping the rides will be doable. We also hold season tickets to a local park which I would love to use sooner rather than later.

I should mention that 1 week post op, I get a little motion sick driving myself 30-minutes to work (first day back to work too). I'm sure it's all in the healing, but hope it goes away soon.

Definitely a question for your surgeon.

  • Motion sickness on a coaster, now that sounds like a party. I don't see why it would be an issue a little while out but check with your surgeon/team. Good luck getting back to the rides and HAVE FUN!!
