I have edema in both legs- my left is much worse, I take Lasix- 40mg. it has gone down slightly since my surgery on 8/6. I tried oils, massage, wrapping, also a machine called Verso that only fit on my foot it was meant to fit on the calf but that def. wouldn't happen. I wonder if the people who made the product even know what edema does. I was wondering if anyone else has seen a big improvement after weight loss, I really hope that it goes away. Thanks for any thoughts. :)

I had surgery 3 months ago and I have to say my lymphedema has went down about 50 %. Some days it is a little bigger but it has really improved. There is a thing called dry brushing that might help and I'm gonna try it.

I am a lymphedema sufferer. Lets be real quiet right now they are less swollen. At any rate I will have Rny surgery and I will update. if it progressively gets better. I have a theory on what's causing mine. and we will See if I am right. I think my belly fat weight blocks the lymph cannels from draining right. But we shall see, shall we?

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
