I’m two weeks away from being 2 months post op and have only lost 28 lbs total. The first month I lost 26 this month only 2 lbs!!! I’m doing everything and I swear it’s not working and making me feel why did I do this

Looking at your start weight, it is entirely possible that you managed to avoid the dreaded 3 week stall until now. Divided up that is still almost 4lbs a week which is double what I've ever lost in one week. Be kind to yourself and trust the process. It is physically impossible to not lose weight after surgery if you're being compliant.

That being said, are you getting your Water and Protein? Exercising at all? If you changed any of those habits it might be why your weight slowed some but that's a huge difference to be explained. Whatever the cause if you are doing what your doc recommended you literally will lose the weight. It just might come in more "stops and starts" than you want.

You lost 28 pounds in two months & you're complaining?! Did you ever put on 28 pounds in two months? I bet you didn't!

Bluster aside, what you're experiencing is well within "normal" ranges. As long as you're doing what you're supposed to do (you are, right?) your body will start losing again.

Welcome to your new life. You are not alone. Good luck.

What's your daily intake look like, are you tracking? If so, how many calories are you consuming a day?
How much Water are you consuming?
How much Protein?
How much are you exercising?

Everyone is going to lose at different rates, but if you are hitting your intake goals, and are exercising, and are following your doctors orders, then you are doing fine. Don't compare yourself to anyone else, unless you happen to be a multiple (twin, triplet, etc)... you are unique and no one else is going to lose (or gain) exactly the same way.

I'm almost two months out as well, gastric bypass, and I've lost about the same. You have to see that's a great amount to lose! I did have the week three stall though, it lasted forever!

Follow your program, don't cheat and be honest with yourself. If you are cheating, well you know it only gives you the feelings you are having right now. Try your best to get back on track. If your not cheating talk to your NUT and let them know what's going on and how you are feeling. Follow the advice the others have given you here. I wish you success and the best of luck to you!!!!

Thank you I currently am walking 3 miles 4days per week burning 1,085 cal my fitness pal is where I track my food and it says I’m getting about 600-650 cal per day, I feel as though I am sticking to my plan but I am human and periodically have a Hershey kiss to control my chocolate crave. I just made a appointment with the dietitian for next month so I’m gonna up my cal intake and see if it makes a difference I’m just super depressed it’s not going how I planned, my starting weight was 288 as of today I’m 263

So... what's your Water intake like? You really want to be getting upwards of 128oz a day... the human body needs water to process fat, if you aren't giving your body enough water to meet it's normal daily needs, fat loss will suffer.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
