Hi just wanted to give a positive result to anyone on the fence. I CRIEDDDD until they put me to sleep, but my surgeon was excellent and he talked me down from my fears of dying on the table. I was told he removes as much gas as possible during the procedure, and I litterally had no gas pain it was amazing. However I did have bad pain at the larger incision spot. He said it’s because it’s like pulling out a premature baby lol. Two doses of morphine overnight and here I am day two slightly uncomfortable but barely no pain. They gave me Pepcid before the surgery and I believe that helped with the gas relief. I’m drinking with ease, can swollen my meds daily and absolutely no nausea or vomit, as they have been giving me zofran around the clock. I read so many stories from YouTube videos and was terrified. I’m blessed to have had such a good experience And a wonderful doctor. I have no regrets as of now. Best of luck to anyone in the process.
