  2. Hi. I can’t say for sure it was the birth control and not just my body adjusting. Because I’m so small now. It did not stop me from losing weight. I was trying to rush the process. Trust me if your doing everything else right the weight will start dropping again.
  3. So I’ve lost 80lb within 6 months. But I also have this birth control in my arm and have to take additional birth control pills to stop breakthru bleeding. I feel like when I take the pills it stops my weight lost and when I come off I start to drop the weight again. Does anyone experience this. Trying to weight the pros and cons but I want to lose this additional 30lbs and now I’m starting to realize why the weight lost has stopped. Any suggestions ?

  8. ??? I like your mind set lol. It’s easier to fall within a range than to be on a set limit
  9. My NUT said this is an argument that them and doctors will never agree on. I’ve suffer the effects of little to no carbs per my doctor and almost passed tf out. Never again. I don’t count my calories or carbs but I definitely limit them and ready labels before I eat anything. And I’m already 4 months out halfway to my goal so idk. I’m always curious to see what others do

  11. Hello just wondering what’s everyone carb intake. I’m 4 months out down 52lbs I eat carbs but in low moderation. My nut says carbs are energy and we need them, doctor says little to no carbs. I don’t know who to listen to
  12. How many calories do you eat a day. I’m in a stall and I remember my NUT saying too little calories can stop weight loss. I’m at about 500 calories a day
  13. I’m currently 2 months post op, at 5 1/2 weeks I had lost 31 lbs. but now at 8 1/2 weeks I have only lost 3 lbs. That’s 3 weeks and only 3lbs lost, a pound a week. Whyyyy ? Does anyone know how long this will last, is not getting enough protein a reason to stall ? How do you jump start the weight lost again. I’m on regular foods. I don’t eat but maybe 3 tiny meals a day
  14. I eat like cream of wheat, oatmeal, eggs, fruit, whatever on the list, bite of the meat i could for dinner, but I’m on real food and still seem to eat the same foods out of fear of not knowing really what I can or can not eat but I know I can’t eat like this forever. Plus it’s boring. I’m enjoying salads soooo much ? I really just need to figure other ways to get protein

  16. This seems like so much food even though I’m sure it isn’t but I just can’t seem to eat enough to cover my protein, I’ve tried health wise non creamy protein juices and those are pretty good. Hopefully in time I can eat more to hit my levels, I wish they made protein chewbles or something easier to get the proper intake.
  17. Can I ask what you eat in a day. I’m still struggling getting all my calories and I don’t want to plateau
  18. Hey everyone I’m about 7 weeks out down 31 lbs since about 2 weeks ago. Don’t really weight myself outside of the doctors. Anyways. How many people eat whatever they want and still lost all their weight. My doctors has me on no restrictions as far as my diet. My NUT said it’s about Portion control and not really the foods you eat. I’m still trying to get my liquids down, my protein needs to be better but the shakes make me vomit and sugar alcohols give me the runs. Been on real food for about 2 weeks with no problems but I don’t want to mess myself up. They told me stay off this site because listening to others will ruin me but to just listen my body. It knows what it an handle. Still like input however. Do you diet or no ???
  19. I’m about to start clinical in the spring. I hope to lose a good about by then so I can keep up with the rush. Good luck with that I heard it’s intense, but well worth it. I can’t wait

  21. Let me just say if your going to write a judgmental, non medically educated opinion please keep scrolling. Thanks in advance. Anyways today I met with my NUT first time post op and it was great. I read a lot of post on here and people talk about what you can’t eat, shame you for what you decide to eat or even for asking for an opinion. So it can be very confusing when trying to figure out what’s good and what’s not. I had a bad reaction to sugar alcohols in sugar free items. Protein shakes were causing me to vomit and I wasn’t getting anything real in. Yesterday I got so sick and tired and she told me I wasn’t getting any CARBS. Yes CARBS. She said carbs are the primary source of energy so even If im getting my protein I can still feel weak which I was because I was trying to avoid carbs. She told me that she would never advise anyone to avoid a food group because that alone causes new issues. thAt while you need to be aware of eating better that the focus is portion control and it’s unrealistic to expect someone to never eat rice or pasta or sweets again. learn to replace carbs if you know you want a slice of cake later. I feel so much more prepared to take on real foods now. What’s your NUT advise?

  23. 4 weeks out and first day at the gym. Started out slow but lord did I feel so much lighter. 24lb down and I was sweating bullets which I never used to sweat at all. I don’t know if that’s something new I will experience. Made me feel like I as actually doing something. How many of y’all exercise regularly and do you feel it helps with the weight lost?
