Question about drinking water

I was told to take tiny sips and the first couple of days post op I understood. Now, I'm 3 full days out and it seems that drinking almost normal sized drinks is working fine. I can take 2 or 3 drinks at a time. Is this okay or should u still be tiny sipping?

I guess I'm scared to stretching my new stomach and I sure don't want that to happen.

You're good. You won't stretch your sleeve with water. You don't start to feel restriction (generally) until you get to soft foods. Believe me, you'll get it.

Thanks! I so glad to not have to do those tiny sips!

I know that we are not supposed to drink water 30 min prior to, during, or after eating. I'm guess that during the liquid phase it isn't necessary. is that right?
