Hello All,

So I am a little over 2 months out and just curious how much everyone eats and exercises a day? I was told I was eating too little and upped it but I only lost like 9 pounds in like 4 weeks. Idk what I'm doing wrong but I don't go back to doctors for another 3 weeks about and want to any helpful hints people can give. Thank you guys!

Your call out says you've lost 86 lbs already, but not what your height or current weight is. Check your BMR and pay attention to it, as we age and as we get thinner our BMR drops, your BMR is the amount of calories you burn just from being alive, as this decreases, we have to adjust somewhere else to make up for the decrease. Are you getting upwards of 128oz of Water a day? If not, work on that, we need quite a lot more water per day than most people realize and our body uses water to break down fat, SO, if we don't get enough water, our bodies won't be as efficient at fat removal.

Also, it's possible to lose body fat but not weight, ESP if you exercising. Check your body fat % if you can as well.

Thanks! I am barely getting 64 ounces of Fluid in daily so I will continue to try to work on that and up my exercise. I am 5'10" & currently about 452 and was 546 when I started. Down about 47 since surgery. I'll know for sure my numbers when I see the doctor at the end of this month. I just stress hat I'm doing something wrong or not enough or that surgery won't work for me ugh. Thanks I will look at my numbers and up my fluids for sure!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
