3.25 in a 4

Recommended Posts

I went in for my second fill today and I told them to "filler up!" So, they put another 1.75 in my already 1.5 making it 3.25.........should this be a good fill?

3 in a 4 is too much for me. I'm at 2.75 and this is as close to a sweet spot as I'm going to get. So yeah - 3.25 could most definitely be enough for restriction.

I thought my surgeon was agressive with his 0.5 - 1.0 cc fills. WOW. 1.75 at a time, in a 4cc band? Do be careful when you resume eating. Having THAT much fill at once can easily push you into "overfilled."

I was happy to hear the amount you got. I have a 4 cc band, and my first fill was 2cc. I am considering a small fill. But I want to wait a month. It's all good.

I've got 3 and it took me 6 or 7 fills to get there.

Its as good as its going to get for me too. I'm a long way from that typical "sweet spot" description, but then I never ever want to be that tight anyway, sweet spot to me sounds like torture.

I eat about a cup of food at a time, but more often these days since I went from 2.8 to 3 I can block up or have a tiny PB, especially in the morning.

and I came in from a run the other night and threw down a handful of macadamia nuts and a huge glass of Water, my body let me no in no uncertain terms that I cannot eat and gulp anymore, that was ugly but thankfully instant.

3 in a 4 is perfect. I can eat and enjoy eating and even indulge a little but not much.

I was recently put to 3.2. And yes this seems perfect. I don't think I can go any tighter, but you see in other threads that everyone is different.

I read somewhere that restriction really gets serious at 3.0 and that any fill after will be a small fill.

I am a bit surprised that your doc put you up 1.75 in one fill. Seems like a lot to me. But everyone is different.

Let us know how it is going.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
