I ended up eating some non-dairy brownie Ben and Jerry’s and pretzel thins with jalapeño cheddar dip to make up the lacking calories yesterday.

So far today I’m at a Protein Shake and a packet of Protein Tomato Soup. 🤦‍♀️

Kids have been begging me to cut up the watermelon that’s been on the table for over a week so I did and we had pulled BBQ beef (Lloyd’s because I don’t BBQ) on king’s Hawaiian slider Buns, coleslaw (I poured the dressing on the bagged coleslaw mix. 😂🤷‍♀️), watermelon and Brazi bites (a frozen ready to bake version of Brazilian cheese bread) one of which I ate while making kid plates. For what I ended up eating it came out to about 215 calories.

Surprisingly good grilled chicken tenders from Cracker barrel (the creepiest decorated chain Restaurant IMHO 😅)

This is a “during” pic as I remembered to take it after I began eating. Missing from the photo are the mashed potatoes.

Plenty of leftovers ,possibly two more meals

salad for dinner. I must’ve still been full from “lunch” because I just couldn’t eat much. Hearts of palm, artichoke hearts, tomatoes, romaine and balsamic reduction. Would’ve been 135 calories if I had eaten the whole thing.

Some food porn series from the past few days (NOTE: I also had several salads, but they all look the same so...lol)

PART 1:

A few girlfriends and I decided to go all fancy one afternoon and went to get our High Tea on at one of the old school hip hotels in Toronto. There were all these super cute sandwiches and finger foods and like a 32739239283 page BOOK of the different types of teas to choose from. I ended up drinking a mimosa, and eating a 1/2 scone with jam and creme freche (which I had actually dropped on my arm, but ate anyway, LOLOLOLOLzzzzz)

Estimated for scone, spreads & mimosa: 450 calories

Part 2:

Vodka Caesars that are really meals disguised as cocktails.

First one: shrimp tempura with bacon wrapped scallop, Second one: Corn Dogs, Third one: Burger slider.

I drank 2 of the Caesars, and ate 3 onion rings and one of the corn dogs with a sweet mustard sauce: estimated 476 calories

Am including a pic of the MONSTER Caesar this place also offers, LOL. I really want to bring the fam back to this place to order that thing just so I can take a picture of it

PART 3:

@Crick got me all into a cookie baking mood last week, so voila: oatmeal Raisin chocolate Chip Cookies!

I don't like raisins, so I had I didn't really eat one save for a small nibble to taste for sweetness. Fam devoured them in one night though...will be baking another batch this afternoon (maybe a few WITHOUT raisins so I can sample a whole one?)

I'm guessing my taste bite was like 45 calories???? Well that's what I logged it as in MFP regardless.

PART 4:

Brunch at a popup.

Over about a span of 6 hours, I ate/drank:

  • one of the smoked salmon eggs benedicts (sans the english muffin)
  • about 1/2 those fries on the other plate
  • about 1/4 of a cinnamon waffle with maybe a tsp of maple Syrup (not shown)
  • a side garden salad with oil and vinegar dressing (not shown)
  • 1 caesar, 3 sangrias, 2 vodka sodas

Logged 1,505 calories for all of the above in MFP

Looks good other than why would you ruin a chocolate chip cookie with raisins 🤪? (Seriously - never been able to stand raisins - can’t tell you how many times I bit into what I thought was an oatmeal chocolate chip cookie only to spit out raisins in disgust!)

I hear ya. If it wasn't for the fam who loves them, they wouldn't be welcome in my house, lol.

Its annoying because I have to painstakingly pick them out of the trail mix or muesli we have here. *sigh*.

lunch was gardien sweet and sour porkless bites with mixed veggies and brown rice. Total 307 calories. Ate all of it (and made 2 others like it for lunches later this week)

dinner is a very tasty yet super filling burrito bowl from HotHead- Double steak on lettuce with banana peppers, pineapple, fajita veggies, cholula, sweet teriyaki sauce, and pico. Total calories for the whole thing is 397 (46g protein!) so I’m guessing (and tracked) 139 calories. I might go back to it later before bed as a snack…. Or eat a mini Godiva roasted almond dark chocolate bar (found them at Walmart)….

Likewise, why would you ever ruin a perfectly good oatmeal raisin cookie with chocolate chips?

Oatmeal raisin Cookies are my favorite, but I also like chocolate chip cookies. However, I prefer each in its native form.

Edit: For the record, I'm still in the weight loss phase. The closest I get to cookies is the occasional Bel Vita wafer.

Didn’t want to eat what I made the fam for dinner (spaghetti…no pic, it wasn’t very pretty lol), so i just steamed up a bowl of edamame. 240 calories.

Ate it all.

WTF is this monster?!?! 😂

I know, RIGHT?!?!?

People were stopping on the sidewalk to comment on our comparatively-less-ridiculous cocktails already. I can only imagine what would happen if we had one of these on our table. 😱

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
