A philosopher once said, "With great power comes great responsibility." (just kidding about the philosopher thingy...it was from the movie Spiderman) BUT the author of the book, "The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck", Mark Mason changed the wording around, "With great responsibility comes great power." So true!

I thought it was from Gremlins#1. I remember the older Chinese guy saying it when picking up Gizmo and taking him back,to his shop. And at the end, Gizmo says in his little voice( Howie Mandels voice-over) "Bye Bye Billy".

People in my family used to say "People in h*** wish they had ice water!" Well I had a Flubberdoodle moment the other day. I said "People in ice Water do feel like h***! " Maybe I should check this out if I ever fall through the ice during an OHIO WINTER?

Evaluate the people in your life; then promite, demote or terminate. You are the CEO of your life.

You are a battery
Some people energise you
Some people drain you
Too many of the latter and you will be no use to anyone, least of all yourself.

A thought for this Beautiful Saturday morning.
I fall
I rise
I make mistakes .
I live.
I've been hurt but I'm alive.
I'm human
I'm not perfect but I am Thankful!
Besides I was not born to be Average but Spectacular!

The greatest challenge in life is discovering who you are.
The second is being happy and also satisfied with what you find.

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.
