Alli diet pills

Recommended Posts

A good friend of mine tried these pills. Alot of the BDT's are due to the amount of fat you eat and if it goes in our mouth there's fat in it. My friend lost weight, mostly from running to the bathroom. Gained weight back and more when she stopped taking them, also experienced dry skin and hair from them pulling fat from her body. I asked her if she would recommend them to anybody, her remark was "only if they want to buy new clothes from the waist down and look like death warmed over".

wheetsin you are exactly right about not making comments personal so i apologize to any one i affended. but sometimes you can`t help but be defensive. if i have nothin good to say i say nothing at all accept when bein attacked. but i would never insult someone who was just asking and needed help making a decision.

With all due respect, WASa didn't attack you. In your original post, you asked for any feedback regarding the use of Alli. She gave you her opinion, which you asked for. Where was this "attack" that you speak of?

I wasn't attacking you, you asked for opinions and I gave you mine. The whole wonderful and fantastic idea behind the band is the days of orange pooh goo, space suits, red saran wrap, starch blockers, fad diets, weight loss gimmicks... those days are over. There is no longer a need for the horrors of weight loss.

There is a thread here you might want to read. A couple actually. One is about Xenical and the other are diets people have tried over the years. Seriously, everything from wearing space suit types outfits (steam bath concept?) to wrapping yourself in saran wrap before going running.

You asked for opinions, I gave you mine. It just isn't an attack if I don't agree with the need for more drugs such as this. I gave you what you asked for, my opinion. I have no clue how you take that as an attack. If you want people to agree with you then you'll have to explain that. If you want the opinions of others then you can't accuse people of attacking if they do as you request.

Wasa is a valued member of this site. Not only has she gone through the lap band experience and subsequent weight loss journey herself but she is a member of the medical establishment, one who has chosen to engage herself in educating herself on a professional level on the technical aspects of the surgery itself in addition to learning about those issues concerning its aftermath and, moreover, those issues which relate to weight loss in general. It is for this reason that she brings something special to LBT, the marriage of academic/technical knowledge of lapband/weight loss surgical techniques, and general medical issues and of her own personal struggles with weight loss.

She is one of the few qualified resource people who we are lucky to have on this site. Some of you may feel that she is arrogant; the truth is that she is not. She simply knows an awful lot, and has chosen to share this knowledge with us: she cares about us and that really is very bluddy cool.

I agree with Green. Additionally, Wasa will say she doesn't know something if she doesn't. She's also the very first to say to follow your doctor's direction above any other advice given, including hers.

yeah i totally disagree.

there are several posts where someone says they know something when in reading the post its obvious they do not, and they NEVER say they are sorry or apologize when they are wrong. ever. There are a lot of people who clame to be one thing when they are not.

(im trying to not make this about the person, rather the idea but in this specific case its very difficult. im still trying.)

Yum already apologized for any misunderstanding, and its not enough, you got to go on and post and post and post about it instead of just letting it go. I know that wasa has a great deal of fans on here, as devoted to the website as she is, it doesnt suprise me. It doesnt mean that everyone on here is a fan, nor do they have to be.

I myself could come around more if she could either admit when shes wrong rather than continue attaking, or at least say "im sorry" when shes wrong. I dont expect that will ever happen. ill get in trouble for this i bet. I dont want that, but i just have a hard time with all the back patting going on when someone already said they were sorry and hoped they didnt affend.

Do you really believe you have any credibility when you have to create this ID to slam others? Seriously, you created this ID to follow me around and cause problems. Let's face it, you have already pretty well admitted this.

With all due respect, get over yourself.

If you are referring to my post, this was not anything personal against anybody on my part. Green wrote a message and I was agreeing with it. My accolade had nothing to do with Yum (frankly, I have no idea what you're even talking about in that regard) and I said nothing about anybody having to be a fan of anyone. I am speaking from personal experience; this is my opinion which I will state when I see fit. I have not posted and posted about anything or anybody. If I can say something positive in a situation that I am familiar with, I try to do that. I have not sparred on this board with anyone and nor do I intend to start. It's not my bag. It takes two to do that and I refuse to play.

...furthermore, i havent tried to create one single problem. Ive just voiced my opinion. You are opinionated and direct. What? you cant stand it when someone else is too? Does it deserve a response? take your own advice and just dont.

:pound::pound::pound: Seriously, that made me laugh in real time. :clap2:

Here's a news-flash: WASa and I are friends. When one of us gets attacked, the other sticks up for her. Neither one of us is the type of person to make up SNs to go harass another person. Whenever we want to call someone out, we do it on our real SNs.

I am new here today... and only two weeks out from my sleeve surgery on the 23rd. I am amazed I have kept my calories down to 467 today so far... that leaves me almost 750 left for dinner and maybe a snack. This is going to be tough for two weeks... but I have to believe I can do it!

Hey everyone. I'm new here so I thought I should introduce myself. I am 53y/o and am scheduled for Gastric Bypass on June 25th, 2025. I'm located in San Antonio, Texas. I will be having my surgery in Tiajuana Mexico. I've wanted this for years, but I always had insurance where bariatric procedures were excluded. Finally I am able to afford to pay out of pocket.  I can't wait to get started, and I hope I'm prepared for the initial period of "hell". I know what I have signed up for, but I'm sure the good to come will out way the temporary period of discomfort and feelings of regret. I'd love to find people to talk to who have been through the same procedure or experience before. So I look forward to meeting you all. Hope you have a great week!

On day 4 of the 2 week liquid pre-op diet. Surgery scheduled for June 11th.
Soooo I am coming to a realization
of something and I'm not sure what to do about it. For years the only thing I've enjoyed is eating. We rarely do anything or go anywhere and if we do it always includes food. Family comes over? Big family dinner! Go camping? Food! Take a short ride or trip? Food! Holiday? Food! Go out of town for a Dr appointment? Food! When we go to a new town we don't look for any attractions, we look for restaurants we haven't been to. Heck, I look forward to getting off work because that means it's almost supper time. Now that I'm drinking these pre-op shakes for breakfast, lunch, and supper I have nothing to look forward to.  And once I have surgery on June 11th it'll be more of the same shakes. Even after pureed stage, soft food stage, and finally regular food stage, it's going to be a drastic change for the rest of my life. I'm giving up the one thing that really brings me joy. Eating. How do you cope with that? What do you do to fill that void? Wow. Now I'm sad.

I hope your surgery on Wednesday goes well. You will be able to do all sorts of new things as you find your new normal after surgery. I don't know this from experience yet, but I am seeing a lot of positive things from people who have had it done. Best of luck!

Life as a big person had limited my life to what I knew I could manage to do each day. That was eat. I hadn't anything else to look forward to. So my eating choices were the best I could dream up. I planned the cooking in managable lots in my head and filled my day with and around it.

Now I have a whole new big, bigger, biggest, best days ever. I am out there with those skinny people doing stuff i could never have dreamt of. Food is now an after thought. It doesn't consume my day. I still enjoy the good home cooked food but I eat smaller portions. I leave food on my plate when I am full. I can no longer hear my mother's voice saying eat it all up, ther are starving children in Africa who would want that!

I still cook for family feasts, I love cooking. I still do holidays but I have changed from the All inclusive drinking and eating everything everyday kind to Self catering accommodation. This gives me the choice of cooking or eating out as I choose. I rarely drink anymore as I usually travel alone now and I feel I need to keep aware of my surroundings.

I don't know at what point my life expanded, was it when I lost 100 pounds? Was it when I left my walking stick at home ? Was it when I said yes to an outing instead of finding an excuse to stay home ? i look back at my last five years and wonder how loosing weight has made such a difference. Be ready to amaze yourself.

BTW, the liquid diet sucks, one more day and you are over the worst. You can do it.
