I wish Vermont people were here! I would be nice to find a recovery buddy, and Craigslist is way too sketchy! Lol!

LOL SO TRUE. Where in Vermont you from?

Hey! I’m from Connecticut (hope that counts) lol... sleeve scheduled for 5/31... anyone here on instagram?

Lol I always forget about CT thinking its more like NY. Sorry RI too! Lived in MA almost my whole life, moved to Vermont, they have a special nickname for us here, but living in rural Vermont for 12 years now I think it's kind of accurate. The best bumper sticker i saw (then bought) said, "I'm not mean, I'm from Massachusetts."

Cabot area, up north. Not far from Montpelier, close to St. Johnsbury. But my half of my heart remains on The Cape. :(

Hey, S Shore here! I was sleeved on 4/2 so I'm just over 3 weeks out.

Good luck getting out your staples tomorrow! That was the day I finally moved without pain and yesterday at my 3 week point, I finally didn't feel like I could feel my internals moving around! (for lack of a better term)

Who was your surgeon? I went to Beth Israel and Dr Jones was mine. He likes metal staples too :)

I had mine done in UVM (Formerly Fletcher Allen up in Vermont) Dr. Abujaish did mine. Being from the Cape originally and having pretty much ALL my family on the South shore, I'm fairly familiar with Beth Israel. My mom had hers done at Mass Gen 12 years ago, it was funny that my surgeon knew her surgeon.

I'm a HUGE fan of the walking dead, one of my staple "marks" looks exactly like a zombie bite. I hope it stays that way, because I'm weird like that. 3 more days until blended solids!! I can't tell you how excited i am to have chicken in a blender (for reals!)

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
