I hate it when people post just to post.....

....like when clearly the post has no relevance or adds no value to the OP's question or concern.

Like this:

OP Question: I am having trouble finding a good fish recipe I like...can anyone help?

Response: I hate fish! Fish makes me gag!

Can someone explain the purpose of this? I mean, if you don't like fish, then why dont you just move on to the next thread? Who really cares what makes you gag or not gag???? I know I don't.

Hey everyone, thanks for the well wishes with my slip. Hopefully it will go back in place like last time.

Kat, sorry to hear you are having problems too. I know it is awful to not be able to eat or drink. I went all weekend without any food or Water too. By the time I got to the doctor yesterday, I was pretty dehydrated as well. I hope you get your problems fixed and will keep my fingers and toes crossed for you.

Green, that is so exciting that you kicked the cancer! I am truly happy for you.

Froggi, I am sorry you are having problems with your inhalers and meds. Hopefully, after you visit your doctor you can work things out.

BBK, I am voting twice a day, once from work and once from home. I also have asked dh to vote for you from his work computer. We will get you back up there!!

LJM, your band babe is growing girl! I am glad things are going well for you.

I'm posting to say: I hate it when hurricanes come through and knock out power so that you have to shack up with your mother just so you can get your LBT fix.

Hey Glou - you doing okay?

I'm posting to say: I hate it when hurricanes come through and knock out power so that you have to shack up with your mother just so you can get your LBT fix.

Ugh, I feel for you. I love my mom and we get along wonderfully....for a few hours at a time.

Posting to post that I was up all night throwing up (pre-banded). What the H is up with that?!? It was either my dinner out or a bug, I'm guessing. Boo hiss.

I'm trying to keep up with everyone; this thread is hopping!

:) We're great! Power is back on...just went shopping to restock the spoiled food.

yeah. I love my mother, too, but only in short bursts. I'm about done. DH promised we'd go back for dinner because she seemed so sad to see us go. I was like NOOOO...that's a manipulation tool! Don't fall for it!!!

But, we're headed back in a little bit.

Drugs are bad, mmmkay?

I'm laid up for the week, I threw my back out or something Saturday.. no one has a real solid answer since they can't do xrays.. on pain meds & muscle relaxers, if I come up with something fun to say I'll make sure to post it here.

Oh and me and my mom are best friends.. We are identical, so growing up we always butted heads.. once I moved out on my own, we get along wonderfully.. unless there's a dominance situation. We're very Freudian in the way we display dominance. We fight over the attention of the men in our lives, and my uncles are always saying 'You two need to fight, it's always so funny' because we won't back down and we can both be extremely volitile. Just a petty example, she wanted a ride home from work the other day because she didn't want to wait for my dad.. I said fine, but I need to go now (was hungry I think) and she always says she is ready but then makes me sit around for an hour while she takes her sweet time... when I rushed her, she went ballistic, saying don't ever ask ME for a ride again, or her favorite phrase anytime I don't want to be her slave "I'll remember that". She is great at making me feel guilty for reasons she shouldn't. Luckily we both let those things go quickly, after we do a dominance battle and one of us wins, we are back to being buddies.

I read your letter the other day BBK and I decided not to comment, without knowing either of you or the dynamics.. It just sounded like a concerned mom looking out for her daughter.

I have a question for you Plain. I didn't know you knew anything about insomnia. What about chronic insomnia? If I don't take ambien or restoril, I don't sleep at all. I know it's a crutch, but before that, I was trying to live on about 2 hours of sleep. I couldn't fall asleep, and if I did, I was awake after a couple of hours and not able to go back to sleep. It's a huge issue for me.

I am glad I get along so well with my daughter. I wouldn't want her complaining about me. She is like my best friend.

I think I am going to ask my bosses husband tomorrow what he thinks about the fact that the druggie boyfriend was arrested for selling meth. It was in the newspaper, so how can they deny that. Of course now she is saying he really wasn't her bf just a friend and she won't be friends with him anymore.

I have a question for you Plain. I didn't know you knew anything about insomnia. What about chronic insomnia?

A lot of people have chronic insomnia. I would ask you, D, do you have more trouble falling asleep, more trouble staying asleep, or have trouble with both equally?

Reasons for chronic insomnia (just off the top of my head): stress, hormonal stuffage (I know from recent posts that you have both of those), sleep breathing disorders (the most common problem I see in my lab), restless leg disorder (2nd most common prob I see) some cardiac problems.....the list can go on and on.

The big question: if you take your Ambien (10 mg, I assume), are you getting satisfactory sleep? I won't even inquire about the restoril....I don't like that stuff.

PS- I'm not a doc so any advice I give is worth exactly what you paid for it....

WOW - Lots of things going on here....

SheSmiles - I concur; a variety of perspectives makes things interesting (and only occasionally volatile). And, sorry to hear about your sore toe.

ThinnerDenise - The bosses husband? Not the boss? And yeah, right, not really her boyfriend, and not going to be freinds anymore. I believe it...not!

Fairy, Losin, Thinner and Susan - I cannot relate to being best friends with my mother. Nor can I relate to being alienated from her. She is as she is, I am myself. We love each other because we are related, but that's it.

Glou - nothing like being home, is there?

LilMissDiva - Glad to see you back.

BBK - voted again.

OK...am I caught up??

It's Wednesday...and I'm boppin' to the music on my Ipod until such time as any coworker arrives to spoil my fun.

The big question: if you take your Ambien (10 mg, I assume), are you getting satisfactory sleep?

My dr will only give me 14 Ambien per month so that is why I take the restoril on the other nights. My problem is both. I can't fall asleep and if I do, I wake up quickly. I can sleep about 6 hours with these medications.

Oh yeah, the attorney boss of mine has her husband working in the office too. He is the "office manager" I know which one wears the pants in that family.
