BRAT!!! You hush! :crying: Don't incite anything!

Unfortunately, I don't have any children. Are you on a monthly OB schedule right now? That's very cool to hear a wee heartbeat! Poor thing had to eat gravy, blech!

If there's one unifying factor for most reasonable Americans, it would have to be gravy. Gravy = nector of the gods, right America?

*America: Right, plain.

See, there you have it, SNT. America has spoken.

Not this America. I think gravy ranges from just okay to disgusting.

Mac, I'm a little surprised....I thought for sure a very educated person such as yourself would fall squarely in the pro-gravy camp. Perhaps some links to studies that have shown how beneficial gravy is would persuade you?

Probably not... It doesn't rank high enough on the "MacMadame Is it Worth it?" scale.< /p>

This scale is modeled after Barney Stimson's Crazy vs. Hot scale for rating women. Simply put, the crazier a woman is, the hotter she has to be for it to be okay. Only for my scale, it's calories vs. taste. The more calories it has, the better it has to taste or it doesn't rise above the break-even line.

unfortunately, in this instance, it was weight watchers gravy ... so neither tasty nor high-caloric ... so i guess it kinda evens itself out...

at least it's not like those crazy Canadians (im married to one) who eat not only gravy but cheese curds on their fries ... :crying:

(Wow. The things I miss when I go to bed early.)

Mmm...gravy. I like the cream kind over biscuits.

Suddenly my Slim Fast doesn't seem so appealing.

You have to read that in a Sean Connery voice to be effective.

Sean Connery could read anything to me and I'd be in a ...um...blissful state. Such a beautiful distinctive voice, such a lovely accent....:crying:

There is NO right place for gravy...blech!

And ketchup goes with 2 foods only: french fries; and grilled cheese sandwiches.

Losingjusme: YEAH!!! on hearing the wee one's heartbeat.

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.
