I hate it when people post just to post.....

I keep thinking of things to post. Get this - someone in a parking lot where I pay to f'n park hit my front bumper today. How wrong is that!?! So tomorrow will be looking at others' cars to see if I can find the culprit. RUDE!

Have you all heard that Atlanta is out of gas? Fun, huh? I have a quarter tank so hopefully I can make it through the week!

I'm not an early bird either. And I have to be at the hospital by 6am tomorrow. I hope my SURGEON is a freaking morning person.

I hate to be the "downer" in all this, but I overheard Mac's surgeon saying this:

"Looks like I picked a bad time to give up the pills"

Ok, so maybe that was a quote from Airplane! but I couldn't resist.

Pay me what the surgeons make, and I bet I too could be a morning person----I could afford to sleep and work MY schedule!!!!

Good Luck tomorrow!!! We'll see ya in bandland!!

BBK - ugh, I feel for ya. I used to get strep all the time as a kid...yuk.

Plain - I'd say we should spank you for being ugly to Momma Mac but you'd prob like it.

Yep, no gas. Very annoying. People have freaked of course and there have been runs at the stations. Did anyone in "command" think that this might happen and perhaps do some kind of rationing? Hell no, that would be too much like right. In 1972-73, we lived in E.Tn and went through rationing then. Can ANY government official be proactive?

As we are seeing with the economic situation - I do believe the answer is HELL to the no!!! Congress updating regulations since the 30's? Nawwwww, that too would be too much like right. *jumping off soapbox* My apologies!!!

Well that would be an understatement...

Sucks about the petrol shortage. I feel the exact same way about government. What the hell are they doing up in congress, besides drawing a cush salary and reaping enviable health insurance? They certainly weren't making sure huge lenders weren't giving out fraudulent morgages...

There are days when I just don't like the human race...

Sometime during last evening/night, a vehicle drove over the sidewalk at the front on my house, and over the pressure treated lumber barrier that separates the sidewalk from my property (I'm on a bit of a slope), breaking the barrier, and then drove onto the lawn. Apparently they/he/she 'gunned it' to make a hasty departure, and gouged a significant hole in the lawn (previous posts would have referred to the seemingly endless rain, therefore ground is still very Water logged). No one came to the door to apologize – grr! The deductible is more than the cost of repair, so of course, I will pay out of pocket to replace the boards, paint them, and just leave the lawn to repair itself – but I am not impressed!

And the morning is the BEST time of day...

BBK - hope your throat improves

Plain - you do like to tease, don't you?

Gas - don't get me started on the oil industry and its connections with governments.

Thankfully DH is able to do almost all renovations in our house - and 60year old bungalows that previous owners did not maintain, nor do basic upgrade to, need a lot of love and attention! Pre-DH, good contractors were well-worth the money; bad contractors were nothing but trouble!

there IS a purpose for donkeys. (DH says) are trying to give them away.

Well, we made (or almost) it through another day. Just posting to be posting.................:girl_hug:

They do give them away free. Take one and save a donkeys life. Ever been to the Black Hills? They are from old miner donkeys that were abandoned and just multiplied. They're tame and cute as they can be.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
