I hate it when people post just to post.....

Nahh its not that bad, I worked the salmon boats for a summer made some good money too. I wont do it again though, if I go back to the fishing boats I would go brown/red crabbing. Not Opilio though, I am not that silly enough to dare mother nature THAT much. Dealing with rough seas, moving ice flow, AND freezing cold .... *ponders* yeah .. no ....

I could definitely not handle the ice and cold. I live in Florida and when it gets below 70, I am freezing.

Susan Alaska is my home, where I come from we saw -75, but turn it around in the summer and we would see 90+. Now the coastal towns like Dutch you would see 80 on a excellent day, while in the winter it would get -30 easy.

I am in Washington right now and hate it. A winter with out snow just isn't right. I am not talking a week or two where it snows an inch or two but back home saw a few feet in a couple of weeks. THAT is what I miss.

I can't believe I said that, damn, I used to hate it always wanted to get the heck outa dodge, and now all I want to do is go back home. LOL

Duh......PB stands for pudgy butt. And slim is the term we use for what we want our PB to look like when we get to goal by puking up all our food and starving ourselves.

You've been banned longer than me......you should know that already, geesh.

:lol::lol::)

Oh I thought Pb stood for puking bandster. Sheesh, you would think I would know that by now. I have been banned over a year now.

Is red crab the same as dungeous crab? That's what we have here

in Oregon. I LOVE it. I can eat a lot of it, even though I am banned.

No, you are wrong. You need to study up and learn your stuff so you are not telling all these newbies the wrong info.

Maybe I should just start a thread telling newbies to come to ME for info, because you people obviously don't know what you are talking about. :wink2:

As long as it is crab and dripping in melted butter, I love it. I know, I know, the melted butter is bad for me.

I could never handle the kind of weather you are talking about Pix. We moved to Atlanta for a year and came back to Florida because we couldn't stand the cold there. I guess I am just a wimp.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
