I hate it when people post just to post.....

All this talk of butter cake and ooey-gooey cakes and Paula Dean is making me a bit nauseous. I think I've turned into one of *those* people... the ones who only eat healthy food and turn their noses up at the unwashed masses who go to McDonalds and eat Hostess cupcakes. :crying:

Seriously...seriously? :rolleyes2:

where's OHJuli? I haven't seen a posting from her in ages.

If I am correct she had ps the other day. Let me think....Tina had hers yesterday and I thunk OH Julie had ps Monday? I will have to look on the ps thread to check.

hello everyone...

Yeah, I know. :crying: Thanks. I decided to not get on the treadmill today. It's not going anywhere either! I'm also NOT going to do all the laundry today either. Just enough to get us thru a little longer. It's downstairs in the garage so I don't need to be hauling all of that up and down right now.

I guess I'm just getting a little anxious. I'm such a slow loser and had really gotten into the walking (at least of the neighborhood, I actually hate the treadmill but it works) and was hoping things were really starting to move. I've been stuck in the 180's for so long too. I'm just kind of a wreck right now I guess and just want to get GOING again!

All the drama is probably just NOW catching up to me too! I've noticed, since my daughter, I'm always stuffing a lot of my emotions, especially when something is wrong with me. We're pretty close and she can read me really well. We don't have family close by and she had to go with us to the surgeon Monday night. DH and I were both anxious but trying not to show it.

Thanks, Beth.

Nothing to thank me for. You did the right thing. I know it's hard, especially when you feel like you can work out but are told you can't -- and when the scale hasn't moved. However, you know that if you harm yourself by getting back to it too soon, you could lay yourself up much longer, and that isn't a good thing. :crying:

I have to remind myself all the time how this is a journey, not a race. If you do the right things, the right things will happen. Don't lose sight of that and where you came from. :rolleyes2:

I think once you commit to eating a certain way for a long enough time your tastes change.

I think so too.

The thanks is for your concern. I appreciate it. A lot.

And I do know better. I just have to remind myself. I still have that dieter's mentality esp when it comes to the scale. I hate when it acts like a bad check! Bounce, bounce, bounce! :rolleyes2:

g4e, thanks for the update on OhJuli! Any word on Tina yet? I've been following her other thread but haven't seen anything yet. Way too soon, I'm sure!

Shrimp is so yummy!

Okay, I need to get to bed. DD will have me up waaayyyyy before I wanna be at this rate! LOL!

'Night all!

OhJuli is doing well. I talk to her pretty much daily. She's trying to ween herself off the meds and is probably looking mighty thin. I will hopefully see her Friday. And probably be insanley jealous.

Oh and it is not her fault that she was born on tax day. =)

You can try. I find that I can't ignore LBT for very long.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
