People change; situations evolve. Sometimes relationships improve and get stronger because of the changes and other times it signals an end to the relationship. It hurts to have our hearts broken but sometimes I think it's even more difficult when we break someone else's heart.

{{{HUGS}}} Try not to be so hard on yourself! I had my heart broken once and although it hurt in the end it was just the opening of another door.

PJTP: I didn't get the promotion I tried so hard for. The "golden-haired" child did. I'm trying so hard not to cry like a big blubbery baby. I believe she wanted the pay and prestige more, but I really wanted the job. The big boss has been petting her and helping her all along, so it's not a surprise that she got it. I'm just sad, even though they probably did me the biggest favor ever. :wink2:

sorry you didnt get the job, Beth and i hate to sound cliche, but things really do happen for a reason... (take it from someone who has not received their 'dream job' in the past then a few months later something either bad happens to the job - outsourced - or i get a better offer)...

I know, I keep telling myself that too. It wasn't meant to be for a reason. In all likelihood, I'm being saved from some tremendous grief having THIS job in THIS place with THESE bosses right now. They're very unkind people.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
