When is this stuff supposed to fall off? I'll be 3 weeks post op on Wednesday and the glue is still hard and covering the incisions.

Right! It's so strange. Some of it has peeled away around the edges, but it's clinging to those incisions really good. Lol

I had surgery Feb. 15. Looking back at notes I took along the way, it looks like my scabs started falling off on March 5 (~2.5 weeks), and I know the edges of the glue were peeling about a week or so before that.

Mine've been peeling at the edges for about a week, one of them's come off. I'm in no hurry to take them off though, the glue is adhering to the crusted blood on top of the incision site and I'm pretty sure if I peel it off now it'll make the scar worse. When the skin underneath is healed, the scab will loosen and the whole thing will just come off naturally.

I peeled mine off after a week because I was having an allergic reaction to the glue. The incisions were fine. In fact, they look much better than the irritated areas from the bandages!

Ok, I'm 3.5 weeks post op and tonight I peeled the glue off 4 of the 5 incisions. There's glue on one incision that felt kinda painful as I went to take it off, so I just left it. I put Bio oil on the others now and will apply after every shower. I'm hoping it helps make the scars less visible.

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.
