Last yoga class.... not sure what to do now

Recommended Posts

Today was my last day of yoga classes. I have been doing it for months and could not stand it. Bittersweet moments [emoji30] what am I going to do on Tuesday & Thursday nights now? Can’t think of anything else besides the gym

My husband and daughter went to spin class awhile ago and they really liked it. My husband wasn’t in the best shape at that time so that’s really saying something.

There are also lolo apps on iTunes. The company is lolo. Apps can be purchased (low cost) and viewed on phone, iPad, etc. each app runs through a series of exercises which are shown on screen. Music can be added and timed. There apps include “7 min workout,” “bootcamp,” etc. You may like those. [emoji272]

Aww I love myself and my progress so YESSSSSS I will continue to take pictures of my body and post them any other suggestions that are helpful and not hateful?

Wow! If that’s not the pot calling the kettle black I’ll eat my extra large shorts (that no longer fit) & save myself a trip to the goodwill. 😂 😂 😂 😂

Read a book? Do a good deed? Brighten someone’s day? Learn a new skill? See a movie? Knitting/crocheting? Volunteering? Working for a political cause you support? Taking a music lesson—instrument or voice? Art class? Art appreciation class?

You said you couldn’t think of anything but the gym....so giving you some jumping off points!

I love yoga! But it’s not for everyone. I made a bunch of exercise suggestions to her over there on another thread hopefully she will read those, but she said she couldn’t think of anything other than the gym so trying to give her other ideas here!

Jess if I ever need fitness training advice, you are one of the first people I'd ask. You're a treasure of experience and insight in that particular topic.

How weird is this? My dog training club does dog yoga....where you do poses with your puppy. It's sort of hysterical, and probably couldn't be called real yoga....but everyone laughs a lot and the dogs seem to enjoy it:) Some good stretches.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
