Disappointed

Wasa I think you have been sending telepathic signals my way....... I was banded Aug 15, and MY goal is to get TT/Boob Lift, and possible a nose job next Aug 15. I have even been doing the math to see when all this will be paid for, (probably 10 years, that;s what the line of credit is for).

I think your goal was inspired, your success has been phenomenal, and it really sucks when the universe doesnt cooperate with your plan.

In the long term however I think Jachut is right, in 2 years the surgery date wont matter. Right now however, it still sucks!!

Good luck, I am here for you, and I won't lie....I am majorly jelous! :D

im going to have to jump on that band wagon too ... just paint me green ...

M...

I know you are right. It sucks today, it won't make a bit of difference in the near future. I just want it DONE and DONE quickly.

I've never been a patient person. :)

just like we all want to be at goal last week ... you have done an amazing job and should be proud (as i am of you...) i think you are making a good decision to stick to your wishes of the fat doctor (heh) be with you during Sx...

I *just* hung up from talking to sissy (the sane one). I told her that I had a heart to heart with my fat surgeon last week and he explained WHY I can't break or fudge on the rules. I can't freak'en move for 15 days. I have to be in a damn ball from my waist up for 15 verrry long days.

I told her that my friends have offered to let me stay with them or they would stay with me. I don't want that, I want to go to sissy's house. She's cool with that, insisted on it, matter of fact.

So I'll have the surgery when I have it and stay with sissy.

I still wanted it in under a freak'en damn year! I'm not over it yet but working on it. :D

Heh... I guess I failed to mention that I have ADHD. I can't sit still for five minutes if my bloody life depended on it.

I swear, I need mega tranqs for this one.

I run circles around everyone else. I don't have cable TV because I can't sit still long enough to watch a single movie. I can't sit still, I'm like an ADHD kid that climbs the walls... only in adult version.

Hi Nina,

I empathise with your issue with the surgeon - I've changed doctors on a number of occasions when I haven't felt comfortable with them for one or another reason. I stopped going to one guy because he consistently kept me waiting for up to an hour and I thought it was highly inconsiderate especially as I had to get a babysitter in order to be there so I found someone else. At one time I had a female gynea who gave me the creeps for some reason - I just felt she enjoyed her work too much and she talked to me as though I was a child - stopped going to her too!

Thought I'd apply a little acronym to how you might rationalise your situation - it's the GROW method:

G - goal - what is your goal and why does it mean so much to you?

R - reality - consider the reality and how it is affecting you?

O - options - what options do you have to manage your situation?

W - will - do you have the will to manage your options so that you face your reality head on but still achieve your goal?

This might mean naff all to you but I find it good - it can make you take stock when you're faced with a difficult situation.

Hope it helps a bit.

cheers, Jude

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
